You're not bad, I'm bad, ask Carlos...
Genre-defining grime MC Ghetts will be gracing the S&C stage on June 16th - and as one of the scene's leading innovators and most respected figures, his is not a set to be missed.
With Caribbean roots and an East London upbringing, Ghetts brings a fierce flow to the game like no other. His string of highly-acclaimed mixtapes and charting debut album ‘Rebel With A Cause’ helped to create the foundations for the new generation of grime to follow. He is one of the true pioneers of the sound.
The Newham rapper is over a decade into his career but is showing no signs of slowing down yet, preparing to release his newest album ‘Ghetto Gospel: New Testament’ later this year. The first single from the album, “Slumdog Millionaire”, sees him work his magic with Stefflon Don to create a truly addictive banger.
Steff isn’t the only big name Ghetts has worked with, having laid down the fire vocals on many a collaboration. As an ambassador for grime music and a highly sought after spitter, his time in the industry has seen him put out tracks alongside the likes of Wretch 32, Rude Kid Music, Devlin, Chip and Shakka to name just a few.
