Bad boys inna London...
You know those drum and bass beats that soundtrack your summers? Meet the man behind them - Andre Williams, or as you’ll know him, Shy FX
The London DJ has been creating, producing and remixing the biggest and baddest D&B and jungle tracks for the best part of 26 years. This June, you’ll get to see him live on the S&C stage - as returning royalty, 4 years after he performed at our first ever festival.
His massive 1992 debut record ‘Jungle Love’ still sends crowds crazy decades later, and countless timeless tracks since have helped him achieve multiple UK hits - bringing underground sounds to mainstream ears. His breakthrough tune ‘Original Nuttah’ was one of the first Jungle tracks to grace the top 40, and is as rave-igniting now as it ever was. More recently, his remix of DJ Fresh's 'Gold Dust' recreated a genre-defining anthem for a whole new audience
The veteran selector also led Rebel Sound to glory in Red Bull’s Culture Clash back in 2014 - alongside team mates Rage, Chase & Status and David Rodigan. Battling and triumphing over names as big as Boy Better Know and the ASAP Mob, you can understand why Shy FX still pulls in a crowd big enough to spill out of festival tents.
You better grab a drink and get to the stage early, because this set is going to be busy one...
